I established and manage this company specializing in the development of innovative walkable villages immersed in beautiful natural landscapes, within convenient commuting distance to major urban, economic centers.

In this position, I carried out project analysis, due diligence reporting, project management, and construction monitoring for this large commercial real estate development company. I represented real estate lenders and equity investors for capital expense projects as large as $1.3B and >950,000 sq. ft. I identified and resolved risk issues throughout the project life cycle and created templates for monthly project analysis.Selected Accomplishments:• Improved quality and efficiency by implementing a training program and mentoring team members.• Cut risks and costs by helping resolve budget, schedule, staffing, environmental, and entitlement issues during due diligence.• Lowered costs and minimized delays by resolving issues relating to change orders, procurement, permitting, site safety, subcontractor over-billing, and sponsor or contractor mismanagement.

I managed a complex real estate and construction project renovating the historic Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan (191,000 sq. ft.) I was responsible for design coordination, permitting, utilities, requisitioning, and scheduling, and I also trained team members in permitting, budgeting, requisitioning, document control, and scheduling. I supervised the design team and general contractor. The project included replacement of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, façade repair, lobby and restaurant renovations, and guest room and residential apartment updates.Selected Accomplishments:• Resolved issues relating to façade and roof work approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission.• Managed approval process for critical tax credit from the NY State Preservation Office.• Managed approval and installation of a new electrical vault under 23rd Street with Con Edison and NYC Department of Transportation (DoT).

In this role, I was responsible for project management and delivery for a commercial interior design and custom construction company that specializes in high end retail facilities and galleries. I was responsible for conceptual design, document control, shop drawing production, trade coordination, permitting, and construction management.Selected Accomplishments:• Oversaw the design, development, and fabrication of marble stairs, a custom glass elevator, and iconic illuminated steel signage for Canali’s flagship store in Manhattan.• Provided the conceptual design and 3D Revit model for the Damien Hirst retail outlet and showroom, Other Criteria. Designed a 2-story atrium and mezzanine.• Reduced delays by implementing BIM software for 3D design, rendering, and MEP clash detection.

I executed BIM development for large healthcare facility projects up to 1 million sq. ft. and also managed design, 3D modeling, program analysis, clash detection, trade coordination, and LEED optimization efforts. Selected Accomplishments:• Designed a wireless, integrated residential fire suppression system for HOK Products division.• Managed process to earn LEED Platinum-CI. Project was completed on-time and within budget and won design awards for interior design, material use, and facilities management.• Facilitated the design of a military community medical center in Germany by developing a 3D BIM and running various design simulations to optimize departmental layouts and reduce client operating expenses.

As a student at Cornell University, I founded Convergence: NYC, which drew >1,000 architecture students from 5 states to New York City for design firm visits, panel discussions, and networking events.
