About Jason Holt
As a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 21 years I have been fortunate enough to work in very diverse areas and gain expertise in many skill sets including project leadership, molecular biology, cell biology, and stem cell research. My time in industry has given me a chance to interact with, and lead team members in small molecule, cell therapy, and gene editing drug discovery programs which has allowed me to broaden my skill set over the years. I thoroughly enjoy working in a team setting and driving programs forward to successful completion.

Collaborated with Dr. Rita Cantor at UCLA Medical School to determine if there is a genetic link between RevErbA Alpha and autism.• Developed Glucocorticoid receptor antagonist assay in primary human skeletal muscle cells for validation of anti-cachexia hypothesis as well as to validate antagonist compounds.• Developed amino acid depletion assay in skeletal muscle cells to be run as a medium throughput screen to find novel compounds that will cause increased muscle protein synthesis to be developed as a treatment for sarcopenia.• Ran secondary cell based assays to support the Myostatin Pathways screen to help identify mechanism of action of small molecules found in primary screen.
