About Jason Brain
I am currently owner of my start-up,Soapbox International, a comprehensive entertainment, media, marketing, management company based out of Los Angeles, CA. Our goal is to provide the services and support young artists need to fulfill their dreams as creative business-people.As a creative myself, I am primarily a writer of poetry and spoken word, as well as a playwrite and screenwriter. In 2012 I published my "Mix Tape Collection" of original poetry; available now through Amazon.com from Poetry In Motion Publishing House. I am currently editing my largest project to date, "Amerikana 365," a collection of 365 One-Act Plays written in 365 days. Stay tuned for that from PIM Publishing House, as well.In the near future, I hope to begin touring college campuses to share my Spoken Word; to develop Soapbox International (and its subsidiary, Imagine Nation Agency) into a thriving company for the creative community; and to continue to push my writing in the hopes of securing a national platform to display my work.I hope to meet you soon.

Creator & Host
Since 2006, I have produced and hosted Soapbox Sessions open mic for musicians, poets, comedians, and audience at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Encino, CA. We have had many spin-off events, such as Sweet Noise concerts and KSBX online radio, but the open mic is our cornerstone. The open mic is officially ending on our 10 year anniversary on May 27th, 2016, though we hope to remain involved in the creative community into the future to "spread the word, the love, and the Soap." www.spbx.org
