I am a Toronto-based senior developer specialising in rich interactive user experience for mobile applications. I have over 15 years of experience working as a web and mobile developer with over 11 years specifically spent focused on mobile app development. I have worked on projects for TD Bank, McDonalds, Exxon Mobil, National Film Board of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association, The New York Times, and many others.My experience is primarily developing apps for iOS in Swift and Objective-C however, I am proficient in a number of languages and technologies including C#, Xamarin, web development, PHP/MySQL, and others.In my previous role, I was responsible for elevating the proofs of concept from an image-based clickthrough mockups into fully interactive, native prototypes. The successes of these concepts lead to improved user engagement in user testing, and enriched user experiences in the TD Bank mobile apps. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining a demo, consisting of all the concepts, which was presented by the senior executive team as the future of digital banking for TD at board meetings and conferences, as well as to investors and the press. Additionally, I was responsible for communicating the solutions developed in these concepts to the technical team for implementing in the TD Bank mobile apps, as well as consulting on how to incorporate animations and transitions.I am interested in a role that would include some degree of creative expression, as well as R&D and experimentation. I enjoy working closely with designers to implement their vision in code and I believe that whatever is best for the user’s experience is best for the application overall. I enjoy mentoring and helping junior colleagues to grow through sharing my experience.
