I am a cloud solutions and network engineering professional with over 28 years of experience consulting on a wide range of projects for both commercial and government customers. I currently serve as Cloud Solutions Director, Defense Sector with GDIT where I am responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of solutions tailored for the unique needs of DoD. In this role I apply over a decade of experience supporting DoD adoption of cloud technologies to enable desirable mission outcomes including improved resiliency, performance and security at a lower cost compared to legacy IT operations.For the past 10 years I've focused almost exclusively on the development and use of cloud services in support of the US Government and Department of Defense missions. My work includes solution architecture, system design, implementation and operational support of both Government owned private cloud infrastructure, and commercial FedRAMP / DoD IL-4/5/6 authorized cloud services. Having supported numerous DoD cloud migrations, I am deeply familiar with what it takes to successfully plan, test, migrate and operate DoD systems in a variety of cloud environments. My technical skills are strongest in the areas of cloud architectures, large scale cloud migration tools / methodologies, event driven automation in support of operations and networking (LAN/WAN IP routing and switching), and security solutions compliance with DoD control requirements.
