Teamed with and supported Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in planning and executing operational changes required to accommodate the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Broadened operational capacity to serve expanded patient rosters and overhauled entire patient intake, billing, and payment application processes to support new insurance payers throughout the market.Implemented programs and staffing solutions while supervising 100 people from executive level, including 27 physicians. Collaborated with insurance companies to set up new lines of business in support of Medicaid and ACA. - Established managed care programs for select patient populations, created and launched insurance eligibility programs, managed patient services, and oversaw daily operations while improving efficiency, increasing revenue, and raising patient satisfaction. - Produced 151% increase in new patient files, acquired $8M+ in new annual insurance contracts, and served as model for FQHCs nationwide- Oversaw development and creation of the intake department to establish the center as the adoption leader within the region- Earned awards and accolades from local, state, and national entities- Managed media inquiries and appeared on three nationwide networks to report on progress (CNN, MSNBC, Fox News)
