I currently work as an Project Manager for DAE Construction Services in Denver, Colorado. I have experience in a wide variety of product types, including high-end single family, low and mid-rise multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, warehouse, and specialty projects.I am an MBA graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, with a specialization in Real Estate Finance. With more than twenty years of experience as a construction professional, I have had many opportunities to design, develop, and build creative solutions in the built environment. I am inspired by the process of articulating a design vision and bringing that vision to life.Previous to my return to the classroom for my master's degree, I was president of Acacia Builders, a construction management company in Colorado specializing in custom residential projects. My responsibilities encompassed all aspects of the business, from employee supervision to payroll, accounting, cost estimation, risk management, and marketing. My design, communication, and project management skills enabled me to deliver several unique, high-quality projects on time and on budget. In 1998 I co-founded Carter-Elliott Design & Construction in Leesburg, VA. As a Virginia Class-A General Contractor, Carter-Elliott specialized in high-quality custom homes, generating annual revenue up to $1.75M with as many as 6 employees. I have visited over 30 countries and also organized climbing expeditions to the Himalayas, Andes and the Alaska Range. In 2002 I was part of an expedition that established a new mountaineering route on the north face of Mt. Dickey in the Ruth Gorge of Denali National Park, AK.I currently live in Boulder, CO, with my wife Jennifer, and my two children, Anson and Campbell. In my free time I enjoy climbing, telemark skiing and fly fishing.
