About Jason Beard
Jason has over 26 years of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry. Starting his career in the U.S. Army, Jason honorably served for 4 years on active duty in field production Operations and Engineering, supporting Combat Documentation missions. Having served in Lead Engineering and Engineering Executive roles at Turner Entertainment, Fox Entertainment, Fox Sports, and Disney, Jason has developed expertise in design and project implementation of production control, master control, broadcast automation, playout, media processing, qc, edit systems, 2110 infrastructure, etc. Jason brings a customer perspective to his role at Key Code Media, anticipating and advocating for customer needs in solution proposal, design, and project implementation. He is motivated by customer delight. Jason received his initial broadcast engineering training from The Defense Information School where military students are trained in media engineering and public affairs. He also holds Associate of Electronics Technology and Bachelor of Information Technology degrees. Jason has several certifications from Audinate (Dante), QSC, VizRt (NewTek), NetgearAV, and LiveU. Additionally, Jason has earned the prestigious ST-2110 Certification from The Society of Motion Picture Engineers (SMPTE). Having previously served as a Manager for the Atlanta Society of Motion Picture Television Engineers chapter; Jason is a current member of The Hollywood SMPTE chapter.
