Used for all company development and business processes.• Implemented the organization of functional areas within DynaVox to align with the New Product Development process, enabling cross-functional projects and concurrent engineering within each project.• Created and managed the forecasting tools used by all functional areas. Product Manager Highlights:• Conceptualized, defined, launched, and managed products that constituted over 75% of DynaVox revenue and over 90% of DynaVox profit.• Optimized product offerings and pricing to fit the market landscape of Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, School Districts, the Veterans Administration, and a complex set of customers and distributors within the international community.• Created the strategy for DynaVox to develop an eye-tracking access method. Defined the scope and led the product development as well as drafting several patent submittals. The resulting EyeMax was the most widely used eye-tracker in the world. It allows many people to functionally communicate who otherwise would not be able to.• Led the development and launch as both Product and Program Manager of the Maestro communication device, selling more units (and revenue) per year than any device in the history of AAC. The Maestro enabled DynaVox to continue device revenue growth and to recapture market share that had been lost to consumer electronics (specifically the iPhone and iPad).

Industrial Scientific is a developer and manufacturer of gas monitoring equipment for personal safety.New Product Development management highlights:• Led the first Product Development Team (PDT) for the company to two successful product launches (GasBadge Plus and GasBadge Pro in addition to related accessories).• Gathered and implemented the Voice of the Customer process to the extent that the resulting products became market leaders directly upon launch.• Successfully implemented the first use of a one-piece-flow production process for the company.
