Ohio IX is a non-profit Internet Exchange (IX) that allows Internet transport carriers, Internet service providers (ISPs), mobile and content providers, and other organizations to exchange Internet traffic inexpensively through a common switch fabric on a settlement-free basis. Ohio IX reduces the portion of an ISP’s traffic that must be delivered via their upstream transit providers, thereby reducing the average per-bit delivery cost of their service. The increased number of paths learned through Ohio IX also improves routing efficiency and fault-tolerance. By connecting to Ohio IX, members can peer with the route servers provided by Ohio IX, or with any other member directly, provided the members in question have reached a bilateral peering agreement. I'm proud to head up technical operations of Ohio's largest Internet Exchange.

After Fusion acquired Fidelity, oversaw day to day operations of Sales Engineering and Provisioning Engineering teams for a provider of cloud based communications solutions. Creating policy framework and agile platform in order to effectively take customer solutions from inception to completion.

Became head of Sales Engineering after merger of Fidelity Voice Services and Fidelity Access Networks. Channelled years of running the Fidelity Access network to identify opportunity, help customers build awesome solutions and to develop killer products that solve real problems. We were at the forefront of emerging technologies giving ourselves a competitive edge while keeping a keen focus on customer experience to provide the best service possible.

From 2003 until 2012, oversaw architecture, design and day to day operations of Cisco (6500, 7200 and 7600) and Juniper (EX, M and MX) based IP/MPLS network. Managed large TDM infrastructure via DCS to aggregate multiple OC48s worth of DS1s and DS3s onto Cisco 7200VXRs and Juniper M10i. Ethernet aggregation and core on Juniper MXes. Built and ran supporting infrastructure including FreeBSD and Debian/Ubuntu Linux based systems (RANCID, Cacti, SmokePing, Nagios, Opsview, PowerDNS) not to mention support and management of VMware vSphere 4 and 5 cloud environment.

Lead a team of engineers in the configuration, administration and maintenance of regional hosting, dedicated access and dial-up ISP network based in Northeastern Ohio. Services provided: Web, DNS and Email Hosting, T1 and T3 Dedicated Internet Access, Dial-Up Internet and DSL. Red Hat/Mandrake Linux and Win2k for hosting, Cisco 7500 routers for core/dedicated aggregation, Cisco AS5350s for dial up and a hodge podge of other network devices made by companies no longer around today.

Started out in the "wild west" of dial-up tech support for Stratos Internet Group who was later acquired by CoreComm. Moved internally to nascent DSL NOC. Built and supervised a new team of engineers that provided tier 2 and 3 support for administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of an entire tri-state, facilities based DSL network. 17 COs, 34 DSLAMs in 3 markets. Team built and managed network of Lucent Stinger DSLAMs into Lucent CBX500 ATM transport network into Cisco 6400 ATM aggregation routers.
