• Simultaneously manage multiple engagement teams simultaneously through the development and execution of audit test strategies and provide technical accounting consultations for SEC registrants (Hewlett-Packard Company and Juniper Networks) and pre-IPO companies (Lytro, PGP Corporation, and RockYou)• Advise clients in applying accounting pronouncements and US GAAP standards in areas such as SEC reporting, XBRL, equity and share-based awards, multiple-element and software revenue recognition, goodwill and intangible asset valuation/impairment• Provide consultations as an XBRL subject matter expert for West sub-area engagement teams as needed• Develop, communicate, and coordinate the international procedures performed in 21 countries in support of HP’s U.S. GAAP-based audit• Coordinate the preparation of a 30,000 hour annual engagement budget, creating the tools and reports for engagement executives to monitor and report on performance against budget • Partner with EY National leadership on the development and proof-of-concept of a journal entry data standard for AICPA submission• Selected by engagement executives to present technical accounting updates and revenue recognition training to clients’ accounting departments, including the VP and Director of Enterprise Financial Reporting and Revenue Manager• Review, document, and test internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley §404 for major financial processes including financial statement close and consolidation, revenue, and stock-based compensation• Train, supervise, mentor, and provide performance evaluations for up to 12 staff and senior associates across multiple engagements simultaneously• Received the highest performance rating awarded to the top 5-10% of the peer group each year from 2011-2012 and received 14 separate recognition awards for consistent high-quality work, implementation of budget efficiencies, and leadership skills
