The Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) is a nationally recognized fellowship program that engages a diverse and collaborative community of strategic leaders to promote equitable education policy. Fellows increase their awareness of how public policy is made, learn whom the key players are, and gain experience as education advocates in the policy-making process.

I prepare lessons, activities, and events based on curriculum of Bilingual Education. I also present about the culture, geography, and language of America. During my time teaching, I have helped chaperone field trips.

• Supervised and facilitated educational programs for at-risk mobile home community consisting of many immigrant families from Mexico: tutoring program for the youth and ESOL classes, community building, and resource awareness for adults.• Youth program outcomes include: Signing up families for library cards, providing awareness and access to Magnet School options (helped 24 students apply), helped students achieve honor roll status, mentored and taught life skills and sportsmanship through sports to youth, facilitated field trips for families to educational experiences.• Adult program outcomes include: Taught ESOL based around resource access and employment, mediated and interpreted between neighborhood management and residents, taught safe driving skills, translated and trained immigrant parents on educational strategies to support their children with homework, and performed additional casework to families.● Recruited College students as volunteers and supervised them for program support
