TA for CS1010 in AY15/16 Sem 2.

Joined the Pacific Refurbishment team to develop various ad-hoc projects.Duties include web development of an internal dashboard, process automation using VBA, and data analysis and preparation using SAP system. Works performed greatly improves the business efficiency and team performance. Many manual processes are automated with VBA and AppleScript. In addition, I acquired a lot of new knowledges and insights into the supply chain and business process management, which was something new to me.

As an advisor, I managed a group of 20 students and helped them during their NUS School of Computing Summer Orbital program. I helped each team to finalize their project ideas, give suggestion during the design phase, provide solutions for their implementation difficulties, and feedback on their works.Many of the students are first-timer for web/app developing, and I guided them from the product idea to a real working product. Students provided good feedback for me.

Joined the Mail team and developed the enterprise mail application during the 8-week internship.Use Google Closure and Spring Framework to implement features including several mailbox actions (move, mark, delete, restore mails); design and develop the mail draft feature.Conducted research on inter-server communication, and develop push mail service for the mail system.Gained practical experience on technologies such as NoSQL(Cassandra) and server cache (Redis).
