As EVP at Vinson Group, I lead our business development efforts in Ohio’s K-12 schools and districts and beyond. Since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to work with technology in the education sector. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in elementary school and found gaming to be one of the most effective learning aids available. After high school, I studied video game design so I could create programs to help kids with dyslexia on their learning journey but, when a massive shake-up in the gaming sector saw job opportunities dry-up, I decided to explore other ways I could help make a difference.That’s what led me to join Vinson, then operating as the education arm of Epiphany in my home state, Ohio.What I love about my role is the focus on delivering technology that meets the specific needs of K-12 staff and students, providing effective, affordable solutions to make it easier for schools and districts to operate their technology infrastructure while we work in the technology arena, I firmly believe that our success stems from our K-12 expertise and our ability to build trusted partnerships with our clients.For me, this work is personal. I want us to deliver great long-term value to K-12 institutions that allows them to maximize the benefit they can bring to students and staff.I’m proud of the work our team is doing to make this a reality for our customers every day. From managed services through cybersecurity, we’re putting K-12 needs first and having a meaningful impact in the process.
