CeoHubstar Ltd Jan 2014 - PresentAuckland, NzAfter working with some of the biggest brands around the world on their digital marketing strategies, I was able to visualise a future where consumers connected on socially enabled platforms to communicate and connect on a more one-to-one personal level. I always wanted to see the faces of the real people working behind these huge brands on websites when I was either shopping for some new shoes, or deciding on which bank to re-mortgage with. I watched as some brands gingerly dipped their toes in social waters with rigid social communication policies that standardised human response to a monolithic robotic dialogue knowing that for these brands to get personal, it was going to take a miracle. I was waiting for the age of the “faceless” brand to be absolved.Still I waited for the day that my shoe shopping and banking would be done with Sarah, my shoe stylist guru and John, my knowledgeable and trusty banker. That we communicated on a personal level with our face shown on emails and websites, I could see Sarah's latest shoe recommendations. John posted his investment tips for the stock market under his personal profile. After all, we are all born with a personality that defines us to how the world sees us. Someone once told me, “if opportunity does not come knocking on your, get busy and build your own door”. And that is exactly what HubStar's purpose for it's existence.
