In my two years at PennWest I was responsible for managing facilities and pipeline project execution for light oil development in the Cardium and Viking. I also supported Switchgrass operations engineering projects such as pipeline inspections, pipeline abandonments, river crossing removals, and production optimization through Management of Change (MOC). In the winter of 2014, I was responsible for the facilities budget of $25MM in the Willesden Green Cardium development that resulted in 55-wells onstream. I am very proud of several initiatives that I worked on this season. The cycle time on 5-well pads was reduced from 21-day to 14-days thanks to my influence. I planned construction activities such as prefabrication, pipelines and on-lease tie-in work to be performed out of cycle reducing the amount of work on critical path. I also implemented a mechanical/pipeline contractor strategy to generate the best value for PennWest. By the end of the season I established key performance metrics for cost and schedule on the pipeline contractors that could be leveraged for future work. The 2014 program was delivered safely, on time and under budget thanks to my efforts.After the completion of the 2014 program my team expanded to the Cardium South with 4-Facilities engineers reporting to me. With feedback from operations the wellsite design was improved and made into a new standard. I took it upon myself to implement a IN-HOUSE engineering generation of our standard wellsites. I generated drawings for the 2015 program that I stamped myself. This resulted in a $25K cost savings per well. I also negotiated a 10% rate reduction from our pipeline and electrical contractors. My direct reports were once again setup for success and executed the 2015 program flawlessly.

Leading Worley Parsons discipline engineers including mechanical, civil, process, electrical and instrumentation towards a repeatable wellsite and pipeline gathering design.Key Achievements:- Developing 24-well pad and gathering system engineering STANDARD design package aim at reducing cost, inventory and increasing efficiency. Presenting design to British Columbia Oil & Gas Commission and receive rapid approval resulting in more ready to execute inventory.- Successful freehold landowner negotiations (Rocky Mountain House) for construction of new pipelines and compressors based on sound engineering design aimed at addressing emission and noise concerns. - Pipeline contractor evaluation based on cost and efficiency. Increasing values from pipeline contractor through planning pipeline routes and timing of execution. Negotiated rate reductions based on long term scheduling strategy.- Developed SimOPS execution with Drilling, Completions, Operations, Water management to reduce tie-in cycle times and lower costs. Creatively reversing pipelines to provide fuel gas and water to Rigs & Frac crews significantly reducing costs. Prefabrication of piping and pre-commissioning with operations to expedite onstream of wells.

I spent 7-years as a field based engineer in Edson, Alberta. My focus during this period was to gain valuable on-site experience and to understand the core operations of the business.As a Gas Plant engineer I was exposed to daily operations, maintenance, inspections, shutdowns, major process equipment, production optimization, regulatory reporting, 3rd party stakeholders, operating budgets and profitability. I learned how I could influence people towards common goals and lead a multifunctional team towards success. Key achievements:- 2004 Turnaround Manager responsible for planning and executing a 21-day shutdown.- LPG recovery process optimization focus on increasing C3+ recovery to nameplate and resulting in additional plant revenueAs a Field Production engineer I gained valuable knowledge on how production from wells generates value for our company. I learned gas well optimization techniques from timers, plungers, compression and gathering system pressures. I was exposed to new wells and facilities start-ups.Key achievements:- Start up engineer for Hinton Dehy, compressor and sales pipeline to ATCO. Successful negotiations with Hinton Town Council to approve development near public golf course. During my time as a Midstream engineer I led the gas management strategy for an extensive gather system. I interfaced directly with many 3rd party stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance and value. I established target volumes for my operations team follow. I also developed gas management strategies during Turnaround seasons that minimized production loss.
