I am responsible for maintaining the bandsaws and the associated equipment for the highest producing sawmill in North America. This role requires extensive knowledge of metal and saw filing techniques which include leveling and tensioning saws, operating CNC grinders and plasma tippers for both bandsaws and round saws. I maintain the precision machine alignment in the mill to +/- one thousandth of an inch. I am responsible for inventory ordering, management and allocation for filing supplies. I also utilize bridge cranes daily, along with all hand tools associated with the job. I utilize the necessary computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite.

I was responsible for maintaining bandsaws for multiple mill locations across Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. I utilized CNC grinders and plasma tippers on a daily basis. This role required extensive knowledge of saw filing and metal working, industry specific equipment and computer programs and a knowledge of hand tools, power tools and welding. I also was responsible for maintenance and repairs on the CNC machines at all of their mill locations.
