• Develop and implement a comprehensive housing plan (Annual Action Plan, Indian Housing Plan) in conjunction with Housing Committee with input from Tribal Citizenry and Tribal Council. • Direct and participate in the development, interpretation, evaluation, and recommendation of policies, procedures and regulations for the effective operations of the Housing Department.• Direct and participates in the establishment, administration, and evaluation of programs or services.• Comply with applicable federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising the Tribal Council on needed actions.• Interpret existing and proposed Tribal laws, policies, and procedures as they relate to the Housing Department.• Act as a liaison with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and other governmental entities, private lenders, etc.• Participate in collaborations led by other Tribal Department Directors beginning with initial implementation through delivery of services.• Maintain a centralized housing retention filing system. • Promote the preservation of tribal culture.
