As the Director of Building and Grounds Maintenance/Energy Management for Wichita Public Schools (USD 259), I oversee the functionality and maintenance of over 80 attendance centers and several non-attendance facilities. Our district encompasses approximately 10 million square feet of building space and maintains grounds spanning 176,252 acres. With an average building age of 60 years, I lead a dedicated team committed to ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable learning environments for our diverse student body.I firmly believe that exceptional facilities management is a cornerstone of education. A well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient environment directly supports student success, teacher performance, and community engagement.
