Currently, Mr. Pool develops corporate strategies and curates advantageous technical solutions for intelligence and defense related systems within BlueHalo and partner organizations. Areas of focus include MASINT (Optical and RF), SIGINT, ELINT, Optical Sensor Systems, Intelligence Data, RF and EO Threat System Modeling, AI/ML for Sensors, and Trusted Systems. He previously performed this work with Riverside Research while also providing A&AS for NAISC. Mr. Pool has more than 20 years of experience in radar and communications systems design and development. As a Manager for Electronic Warfare (EW) Operations Support, he leads the analysis and engineering of solutions for the Next Generation EW Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB) System (NGES). He has been deeply involved in the integration with the Combined Emitter Database (CED), Opana, Project Shepherd (United Kingdom, Ministry of Defence) and other EW-related programs. The programs that Mr. Pool leads span multiple intelligence organizations within the US. In addition to leading the engineering of technology solutions, Mr. Pool leads a team of analysts and engineers who do the analysis of the signals and systems as well as platform characteristics and performance. Before working on the exploitation of signals and systems, Mr. Pool designed and developed radar and communications algorithms and hardware, providing him end-to-end expertise within EW.For most of his career, Mr. Pool has been directly involved in Project and Program Management in parallel with the technical responsibilities of engineering. Mr. Pool mentors and leads groups of Electrical Engineers, Intelligence Analysts and Software Engineers in the development of revolutionary EW software and simulation. Mr. Pool has started new programs within the company as well as taken over existing programs and successfully integrated teams. The technologies and analysis processes Mr. Pool has developed and managed has moved from white papers through all the various technology readiness stages to be in full operations and maintenance modes.
