I utilize a wide array of toolsets to further many issues facing the future of the county and all the municipalities within. I work in the fields of policy analysis, sustainability, housing, brownfields, SEQR, and I have secured funding for Towns and Villages to address Complete Streets initiatives.

Working with Professor Jennifer Minner in the Just Places Lab at Cornell University to advance the cause of deconstruction in the circular economy. Started outreach work with Circularity Reuse Zero Waste Development (CR0WD) group to push for deconstruction policy in Ithaca and beyond. Did policy research of precedence from other municipalities that have deconstruction ordinances or other circular elements with the goal of working toward creating Deconstruction Ordinance for Ithaca, NY.

Using ArcMap, and working with Visiting Lecture Dylan Stevenson, I helped guide undergraduate students to create quality GIS maps. The course CRP-4080 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems focused on GIS in the social sciences. The exercises centered on relevant planning issues that can be applied to other disciplines including sociology, economics, and government, etc.

Was recruited to help lead a diverse team of 8 students in landscape architecture, city and regional planning, and design and environmental analysis programs to come up with plans for Interlaken, NY's first public park. The park was to contribute ecological support through flood mitigation, aesthetic beauty, while supporting community building by providing a green place to gather. With a limited budget and limited resources associated with a small village, everything done was seen through a filter of cost effectiveness. Under me and my co-project manager, we lead the students to focus their abilities to research, analysis, precedence studies, and cost and funding analysis while centering everything on the results from engagement with local stakeholders and outreach to the community.The co project managers met with client-stakeholders, professors, Design Connect board, and the Interlaken Park team on a weekly basis. Co project managers coordinated and created presentations for village officials, the general public, and internally for a midterm and final. Co project managers finally coordinated and created the Final Report, which was submitted to the village.From Design Connect: Design Connect is an interdisciplinary, student-run design organization at Cornell University. Design Connect provides practical experience for Cornell students by delivering impactful planning and design services for local communities.

Research into data, policy, and other circular construction precedents to create resource guides for different stakeholders in the community/municipalities to promote deconstruction over demolition. Continued work with Circularity Reuse Zero Waste Development (CR0WD) group to integrate the resource guides with the proposed Deconstruction Ordinance for the City of Ithaca, NY.

For three years I was the award-winning actively shooting photo editor at The Citizen who brought multimedia to the paper. I led a team of two other photographers and numerous freelancers to produce every daily local section front plus daily stand alone photos and weekly full-color photo pages.
