In this role, I lead the Black Caucus of the Virginia Young Democrats and support efforts to boost issues affecting the Black community and Black youth alongside supporting the election of Black candidates running as Democrats throughout the Commonwealth to bring diverse voices to elected office at all levels.

I provided administrative support to the chapter by taking meeting minutes, drafting membership communications, and maintaining membership records.

My primary objective is to work with the Executive Committee to boost visibility and recruitment for our chapter so as to best support our Democratic candidates.

In this role through the Democratic Party of Virginia's 2023 Majority Project coordinated campaign, I helped support the Field team to re-elect Delegate Rodney Willett in Virginia's 58th House of Delegates district. I participated in direct voter contact, recruit and manage volunteers, organized volunteering events, met goals and metrics for voter contact, and assisted in campaign office management.

In my role, I provided comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Assistant, Operations Team, and an Executive Team of 4 C-suite executives. This includes supporting several multi-state branches in meeting their pre-defined recruiting metrics through weekly accountability reporting. Additionally, I handled secretarial responsibilities for the corporate office, such as sorting and processing mail, handling garnishments and other time-sensitive communications, managing the multi-line phone system, and maintaining office supplies. I also lent a hand to special projects at the request of the Executive Team or the Operations Team.

Ran for the Dale District seat on the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors seeking the Democratic nomination in 2023; withdrew due to a personal, non-election-related life event. Notably, I was the youngest person to seek elected office in Chesterfield County's history.

In my role, I efficiently processed payroll using Avionte and Paychex software, ensuring accurate deductions and garnishments. I verified and submitted timekeeping information, invoices, and other files for processing. Additionally, I assisted with recruitment and onboarding of new employees, providing essential support during the hiring process with particular focus on internal affairs. As a trusted member of the leadership team, I offered general finance advice to the Chief Executive Officer and actively participated in drafting and negotiating contracts, while also providing client support and coordinating accounts receivable. I maintained strong relationships with vendors and provided reliable accounts payable support. One notable project I successfully coordinated was the sale of the organization to another entity, overseeing the coordination and handoff process in 2023.

I provided administrative support to Delegate Shelly Simonds and Delegate Elizabeth Bennett-Parker. This included greeting guests and operating the phone system. I reviewed committee recordings for important legislation, took notes, and entered them into the tracking system. I assisted with accessing services from the Clerk's Office and coordinated mass mailings and time-sensitive projects.

In my role, I actively engaged in various tasks related to legislative matters. This involved identifying, conducting thorough research on, and closely monitoring legislative issues. Additionally, I provided valuable assistance to the staff by helping them track phone calls and manage the voicemail inbox efficiently. Moreover, I played a key role in handling email correspondence, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and concerns. Lastly, I actively participated in supporting the staff by assisting in the coordination of constituent casework, contributing to the smooth functioning of the office and the provision of quality service to constituents.

During the campaign, I utilized VAN and OpenVPB to engage with over 1,000 voters and multiple organizations, effectively achieving the goals outlined by field directors and organizers. In addition, I actively canvassed door-to-door in the Richmond and Chesterfield areas, specifically targeting the pre-2021 House District 68. As a representative of the campaign, I also made it a point to attend various events and local meetings, ensuring that our campaign had a strong presence and voice within the community.
