Tractor Tools Direct is a nation-wide retailer of commercial-grade attachments for compact and subcompact tractors. We provide independence to small farmers by enabling them to get the job done themselves without having to make costly investments in larger equipment. A non-traditional ag equipment dealer, we do the majority of our business online and rely on social media and contemporary e-commerce tools to drive sales. Demand for our products grows each year as the local food and small farm economy gains momentum across the U.S.As Product Manager I was primarily responsible for presentation of our products on all external sales channels and would also monitor the competitive landscape for our product lines. As the business grew, so did my responsibilities. I was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2016.

J3 Concepts is a planning and development consulting firm based in Terre Haute, Indiana. Our work embodies the concept of sustainability and its three pillars: environment, economy, and society.J3 offers consulting services in a number of areas, including land use planning, community development, strategic planning, feasibility studies, community engagement, placemaking, and strategic communications. We work with public and private sector organizations to plan and implement projects and programs that enhance quality of life and vitality of communities.Some examples of our work:* A plan to connect downtown Terre Haute with the Wabash River through public art and placemaking, commissioned by Wabash Valley Art Spaces. J3 is engaging stakeholder groups, leading planning charettes, compiling community input, and developing a final plan.* A detailed site selection analysis for the future Terre Foods Co-op grocery store in Terre Haute.* A feasibility study for a potential new food hub in the area surrounding Galesburg, Illinois, commissioned by the Galesburg Regional Economic Development Association.* Startup planning for the Wabash Valley Food Hub, a project of Indiana State University's Rural-Urban Entrepreneurship Development Institute to increase the market for local foods in the area. J3 was responsible for all aspects of the future non-profit organization's first phase of development including stakeholder engagement, public relations and marketing, research, and organizing.* A land use concept for redevelopment of a portion of Prairie Creek Park in southern Vigo County.

My services as an independent consultant included research, GIS mapping, and project coordination services.At SB Friedman Development Advisors, I was a part of a team that was sub-contracted by the Illinois Department of Transportation to develop components of the Environmental Impact Statement for the game-changing O'Hare Western Bypass highway project. My services included:* Developed parcel-level population and employment projections for the year 2040 in Build and No Build scenarios* Modeled development phasing through 2040 for all change areas* Authored foundational research for creation of a value generation model for the proposed project for use in forecasting revenues from a potential value capture financing schemeI also had the opportunity to support the Urban Land Institute's Curtis Regional Infrastructure Initiative, a nation-wide program devoted to developing innovative approaches to infrastructure investment.* Worked with a team to compile research on nine "game-changing" planned infrastructure projects located throughout the Northeastern Illinois suburbs* Reviewed countless sources, interviewed key stakeholders and decision-makers, and translated input from Committee members into concrete analysis for each project

At the UTC I conducted research under a contract with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). My work was part of a continuing effort to better understand the transportation needs of persons with limited English proficiency (LEP) in the Chicago region. A survey of LEP persons had just been conducted in 2009 with some analysis already complete. My contribution to the initiative was to use survey results and Census data to conduct preliminary components of an LEP Plan - a plan for language accommodation recommended by the Department of Justice as a step to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This work fed into my graduate thesis, which focused more generally on the unique transportation behavior of immigrants who are LEP.
