"Epic Car Ride" in its basic form is a 2017 Ford Explorer Limited. But that doesn't even come close to telling you what it is. Close your eyes for a minute and imagine yourself getting into a futuristic vehicle decked out with lights, sounds, and technology that will blow your mind. Epic Car Ride is a fairly well-known fixture in Portland and can often be seen taking Uber, Lyft, and Private RIde passengers from here to there (30,000+ of them). There are many features and amenities to be experienced once inside the vehicle, but suffice it to say, you will feel like you are traveling in a luxurious and futuristic transport. With snacks, beverages, and good music, you will be put right at ease as we will travel the Portland Metro universe together. Along the way, we might share stories, sing some karaoke on the 5-mic karaoke club setup, take a tour, experience a sci-fi choose-your-own-adventure story, share your talents, play a game complete with prizes, or just enjoy an entertaining and mind-blowing travel experience.

As the Director of Technology, I was responsible for the company IT team and infrastructure as well as technology solutions and platforms for our products and services. During my time at KPG I managed a team of employees and contractors that implemented a new technology infrastructure including new PC workstations, managed network switches and related equipment, a performance-tuned storage array, and wireless access points and related infrastructure. We migrated all workstations to Windows 8, rebuilt the Active Directory server and set up group policies, implemented a centrally managed virus and malware solution, and worked on a new backup and disaster recovery solution. I also managed the implementation of various web-based POS / e-commerce solutions and critical systems including our ticketing and registration system (ShowClix), our digital publishing platform (Mag+), our web publishing platform (Gravitate), our email and shared documents solution (Google Apps), and was working on a secondary e-commerce platform before I left.I was also responsible for the technology infrastructure for our international trade shows. This included gear for event registration (30,000+ attendees per year), show office, and our retail booth locations (including a new POS and inventory management system).After hours, I also took some time to teach web development courses as an adjunct instructor at Clark College and served as the Chairman of the CTEC Advisory board which helped shape the curriculum and degree programs offered by Clark College.

I recruited a team of software engineers and other professionals passionate about making a difference in the world that designed, planned, and built the Kuzoa™ platform including the LifeShield™ safety system and the Kuzoa Peer Guide™ system.My team created and launched a revolutionary new social networking platform used by thousands of people that was relatively safe from predators and criminals. The Kuzoa™ platform was used by a wide range of businesses as a primary CMS and social networking tool used to market to and engage their customers.
