Assisted in health and safety plan implementation and compliance, daily tail-gate meetings, and monitoring for hazardous atmospheres.

Subcontracted to Golder Associcates; QA Tech for Basin F. Monitored and documented hazardous waste removal for remediation of former Army-DOD chemical weapons plant and construction of Hazardous Enhanced Landfill project to ensure full compliance with regulatory and safety procedures and standards. Entered hazardous atmospheres in Level C protection for daily inspections. Supervised subcontractor activities during excavation and disposition of chemically contaminated soils. Inspected high density liners to ensure no migration or cross-contamination of materials out of the exclusion zone. Monitored storm and waste water techniques and clean fill compaction methods. Temporary Position- Worked on the Katrina aftermath in New Orleans as a Superfund Technical Assistance Recovery Team in the marshes around N.O. , LA. Supervised 5-10 man crews while going into the field to recover, document, and identify hazardous material spills and lost containers and tanks for petroleum and any other chemicals or hazardous conditions. Utilized PDAs, GPS, and air monitoring equipment while in the field. Health & Safety daily preparations, monitoring field team conditions for heat stress and biological dangers. Required endurance of extreme conditions of heat and terrain challenges while maintaining safe working conditons for team members.
