I am responsible for maintaining the Message One SaaS Cloud under new Versata ownership and migrating 3 physical datacenters on two continents into the Amazon Web Services cloud. I helped design and build the new infrastructure in multiple availability zones across several AWS regions, linking multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) via peering and IPsec tunnels along with designing a Sophos firewall/IPS solution for each VPC instance and fully meshing them together to provide secure, redundant VPN access for the development and operations groups to maintain and support the Message One applications in the new environment.

I design, build and maintain highly virtualized environments for the SaaS cloud on several continents, integrating Cisco, Dell and Brocade networking gear and firewalls. I worked with Cisco 6506 in VSS pairs, Nexus 5020 and 5540s and FEX 2248s, paired Brocade MLX8s and MLX16s, Cisco ASA 5585, 5540, 5520 and IPS 4260 and ASA-SSM-AIP-20 modules. I also designed and maintained Dell and Cisco Back of Blade switches in Dell 11G and 12G blade chassis on a fully redundant 10 gigabit fiber network.

Administered large corporate network on two continents consisting of one Cisco 4506 and four 6509 core switches with redundant 720 supervisor engines in three datacenters, 7206 and 7201 routers, firewall service modules, 5510 ASAs and 512 PIX firewalls. Managed connectivity between devices including T1s, DS3s, OC3s, and multiple long haul PTP multi-meg fiber lines up to a full gigabit including port-channel configurations. Built and managed ASA SSL VPN solutions for 100+ users in two datacenters and built and managed corporate wireless network using Cisco 1201 Aironet wireless access points. Extensive use of multicast data streams throughout the network as well. Proficient with Cisco CLI, CatOS and ASDM for configuration and management.

I traveled all over the country, troubleshooting network and system problems for Instinet remote trading offices. I also worked with the sales team and onsite technicians to help design and implement the build out of each new office and with our inhouse network team to integrate each new office into our existing infrastructure.

Managed all the servers, desktop systems and the LAN for 40+ employees and equity traders in the San Antonio branch office. I also worked with local and national vendors to negotiate the purchase of new systems and servers for our office.

Equities day trader on the NASDAQ and NY stock exchanges. I also assisted with systems and network troubleshooting in our branch office in San Antonio, Tx as needed.
