On October 8th, 2005, 2,000 Teach For America alumni came to the 15th Anniversary National Alumni Summit in Washington, D.C., where they heard from speakers like Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) and Marian Wright Edelman, founder of the Children's Defense Fund, networked with more than 50 employers at the Opportunities Fair, and heard from inspiring alumni speakers and the amazing KIPP Academy Orchestra.

Executive directors lead Teach For America's growth in a specific region, managing strategic expansion into additional schools and districts, increasing the region's funding base, expanding local alumni impact, and overseeing corps member effectiveness.
