At Developers.nl, my main role is being seconded to different companies for several months or years at a time. Lately, this has been as a Scrum Master to facilitate growth and value delivery of scrum teams in a wide variety of organisations.Up until 2018, I worked mostly as a consultant in the domain of web application development for both internal and external projects, being seconded for several months to help in all aspects required for the realisation of the customer's application.Also, since 2015, I have been a Kennisambassadeur in the company, primarily jointly responsible for upholding the quality level of all other consultants -initially focussing on PHP consultants alone but lately in a more broad sense- by organising tech nights, conference visits, interviewing candidates, being a subject matter expert for the backoffice, etc.

At Het Kadaster, I serve as a Scrum Master for several teams (OZON, IHR, VRK and GCO), all of which were dedicated to the DSO (Digitaal Stelsel Omgevingswet) implementation. The DSO represents the technological aspect of the Omgevingswet, which is considered to be the most significant constitutional amendment since Thorbecke.

I joined DELA to enhance teamwork within the teams of the Olifant program. Upon starting the assignment, it became apparent that the team members were primarily focused on task completion. To address this, I prioritized goal-oriented work, leading the team to quickly recognize that accomplishing our objectives required more than just executing individual tasks. As the six-month assignment concluded, not only had the team members become aware of this crucial insight, but they also developed exceptional synergy among themselves and with the business, leading to the program being cited as a shining example within DELA.

At Logius, I worked for https://mijn.overheid.nl, a site responsible for unlocking data held by the Dutch government (both on the national and regional level). The focus during development of this site laid heavily on security, scalability and user friendliness.During this period, Logius decided to transform itself into an agile organisation, based on the SAFe framework. As such, due to past experience, I was asked to facilitate the necessary changes at MijnOverheid as a scrum master. In the course of this role I:- introduced Scrum into the MijnOverheid development teams;- coached the teams into a more agile mindset, focusing primarily (but not exclusively) on collaboration between developers and testers;- helped the teams and PO's adapt to SAFe and, later on, also helping the RTE in improving the adaptation of SAFe in the entire release train;- helped launch a Community of Practice for the scrum masters of Logius by hosting scrum workshops;- transformed the development teams to include both ops and support (DevOps) in order to speed up the delivery of features;- advocated the use of increased CI/CD for said transformation, focusing on using it to remove bottlenecks in the same delivery of features;- etc...

I was temporarily seconded to Vodafone Thuis (netherlands) due to the backend developer in the IPTV team leaving. I worked on a C# application aimed at simplifying configuration of multicast streams, both by making the system automatically configure all relevant subsystems and by having the actions it undertakes be plannable, through a solution based on CQRS.

I was placed into a new scrum team responsible for improving on the technical implementation of two relatively new business cases that were intended to be the future revenue streams of the company. We did a complete overhaul of the tracking-pixel based cost-per-sale system and build a micro-service based API for the shopping cart functionality.

Amsterdam

At SBS, I work on the backend redesign of the video on demand system of SBS. This system contains both free and payed video content for all three of SBS's television networks, as well as payed movies. This backend redesign is primarily aimed at providing a backend usable for website and app both, must be able to handle large amounts of requests quickly, and abstracts several APIs into a single layer.

At Pon logistics, I worked on the development of the moving-forward application, which was aimed at replacing the miriad of small applications build by end-users (mostly Access tools) by a centrally designed, consistent, webbased solution.

Delft Area, Netherlands

Seconded by the Developers.nl to help the services department in developing templates using the proprietary CxScript language, it soon became clear that the potential and desire for new, innovative tooling was large enough to warrant a change in my assignment. During the 1 year period I was seconded to Carerix, I developed a Calendar synchronization system, a JSON-API based alternative for the CxScript language, a Chrome extension and many other, small scale solutions designed to speed up everyday tasks facing the customers of the Carerix system.
