We are committed to reducing the impact of fast fashion on the environment and promoting the practice of shopping sustainably. I began Volunteering at Sacred Heart Mission in March 2020 after being stood down from my role at Crown Casino as an Area Manager. I became a volunteer for two main reasons. One was to give back to the community, help in any small way that i could to support a charity helping those who are struggling the most in our community. The second reason i started volunteering was to keep my customer service skills sharpened. The corner stone of most occupations is strong communication and customer service, so i wanted to make sure i was maintaining my skills for future employment opportunities.

Mentoring: Volunteered my own time to assist with new trainees in learning new and challenging Table Games. I worked alongside the trainers to help new Croupiers develop their technical skills as well as behavioural expectations in the business.• Frontline customer service: As a Croupier I was required to work rotating shifts of 8-10 hours across various hours of the 24 hour business whilst delivering consistent and outstanding customer service. This involves maintaining confidences as protected by the Privacy Act, dealing the various casino games in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures as specified in the Casino Act. My day-to-day role involved dealing to patrons and ensuring they were enjoying their time at my table as well as communicating with management and peers to ensure the business was able to operate efficiently.
