As a public health nurse at Fraser Health Authority (FHA), I am passionate about promoting health and preventing disease in diverse populations. With over 10 years of nursing experience, I have developed competencies in immunization, medicine, oncology, and psychiatric care, as well as teaching and leadership skills.I started my career as a registered psychiatric nurse (RPN) at Surrey Memorial Hospital, where I provided holistic care to patients with mental health issues. I then pursued a registered nurse (RN) designation and worked on various medical units and as a certified chemo nurse on the oncology unit. I am currently working with the regional immunization team at FHA, where I immunize adults, children, and infants. As a public health lead at the COVID-19 clinics, I trained staff, including firefighters, on the COVID-19 vaccine procedures as well as kept staff and the public updated on the latest mandates and policies. I recently completed a master of nursing (MN) degree with a focus on teaching and leadership.
