• Developed two iterations for the helicopter's hub assembly: including functional ideation, CAD and CAE (including FEA spanning static stresses and modal analysis), and CAM (including G-code review, CNC setup). The completed hubs were assembled and tested with key findings documented and used for subsequent iterations.• Designed and performed controlled ground tests with subjects ranging from: engine performance, avionics tuning, and aerodynamic data for CFD validation. Assisted in developing safety protocols for test procedures and also a documentation standard for tests and design work.• Thoroughly used Autodesk Fusion 360's NASTRAN FEA solver for a myriad static structural and also modal analyses for various helicopter subassemblies. Some of those tests were validated by in-house physical tests. Most FEA was conducted to design joints and identify the weakest links in subassemblies. Fusion 360's assembly FEA analysis using contacts and connectors enabled quick CAE turnarounds.• Operated a 4-axis CNC mill (primarily using only the 3 main axes) for a variety of prototyping and functional parts manufacturing. Actively participated in optimizing machining parameters for: steel alloys (1018 and 4340; rounds, bars, and sheets), aluminium (6061 and 7075; rounds, bars, and sheets), using Fusion 360 CAM and also briefly using SolidCAM iMachining, for both 2D and 3D surfacing passes.
