I hold a degree and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Universitat de València. Currently, I serve as the Scientific Director (CSO) at Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence SL, a biotechnology company based in Valencia, Spain. I have held various positions at both national and international research centers, including the Spanish Type Culture Collection (CECT), Cavanilles Institute of Evolutionary Biology and Biodiversity-UV, Zaidín Experimental Station-CSIC, University of Santiago de Compostela, MEDINA Foundation, Leibniz Institute-DSMZ in Germany, and The ICB – Istituto di Chimica Biomolecolare - CNR in Italy.My expertise includes:> Isolation, phenotypic, and genomic characterization of microorganisms relevant to the agri-food industry.> Discovery of new microorganisms and biomolecules with biotechnological and pharmaceutical applications.> Study of microbial ecology in various environments using omics techniques.I have authored over sixty scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and contributed 19 book chapters. My work has been recognized with several awards, including the best paper at the XXI Conference of the Spanish Society of Microbiology (SEM) in 2010 and the best paper by a young scientist at the V Conference of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) in 2013.
