Javier Williams is an International Emmy Award-nominated Media & Entertainment producer, writer, designer and consultant, specialized in content development and production.He worked for 28 years as a producer, executive producer, designer and writer in Televisa, the world’s largest Spanish-speaking network, where he was responsible for a wide variety of original and adapted scripted and non-scripted content including scripted series, reality shows, game shows and children programming, working with different-sized budgets, ranging up to the millions of dollars and large teams of people.He was also the Televisa executive producer in charge of various international co-productions such as shows with Disney, the Latin American version of Sesame Street with Sesame Workshop, webisodes for ABC, branded shows developed alongside clients, and other productions, where he was part of the development, writing, casting, production, postproduction and launching of these projects.As part of the team who developed the original Mexican Teleton, a 25 hour-long live production that invites people to pledge for children with disabilities, cancer and autism. Starting as the show’s associate producer, he absorbed more and more responsibilities every year since 1997, and now he has been at the helm for several years now producing, writing and directing Mexico’s largest TV special.Several of the productions in which he has been involved have received or been nominated for various awards such as the International Emmy, the Champion of Health award from the Pan American Health Foundation, Premios Bravo, Hugo Awards, Cine Gold Eagle, as well as receiving personal honors from several organizations.He was born and raised in Mexico where he obtained a BA degree in Industrial and Interior Design, complementing it with a second BA in Classical Studies from the University of London, and a MSc in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. Aware of the importance to keep growing, he is constantly participating in numerous courses in different aspects of knowledge and the TV/film craft to evolve his knowledge alongside his projects.
