• Demonstrated an ability to perform the following functions regarding strength training: instruct proper weight lifting form, design weight lifting programs specific for each athlete’s needs, supervise weight lifting sessions, maintain a clean and safe weight lifting environment, as set forth by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).• Demonstrated proper use of weight assistive devices such as weight belts and straps.• Maintained CSCS and CPR certifications in accordance with those respective institutions. • Covered open weight room hours and instruct other coaches/teachers/sponsors in proper weight lifting technique and supervision responsibilities. • Managed conditioning programs. • Documented and kept record of all weight lifting programs. • Demonstrated knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the athlete’s status and interpret the appropriate information.
