USCIRF makes policy recommendations to the President, the Secretary of State and Congress intended to deter religious persecution and promote freedom of religion or belief.

In this temporary position, I supported the acting director by creating social media content to promote Summer Sessions at Georgetown University, assisting with the application and admittance process, and working with colleagues, university staff and faculty, and local vendors to develop and plan events for Summer Sessions students.

Provided administrative and programmatic support to multi-million dollar programs strengthening democratic governance and institutions in Mexico, Haiti, and a closed society South American nation. Responsibilities included drafting and editing semiannual and quarterly reports for funders; issuing grants to local partners and monitoring their activities by reviewing and approving regular submissions of reports and deliverables; supporting HR and accounting aspects of programs; creating social media content for the division and IRI's main platforms promoting program activities and accomplishments; and monitoring and analyzing political and social developments in my portfolio countries and the region at large.

Mainly supported Lynn Carter, Senior Vice President for Democracy, Governance, and Conflict, through researching, drafting, and editing for a large publication on countering global violent extremism (CVE), focused chiefly on Islam-based extremis. Also translated documents to and from Spanish, edited and summarized reports for publication on the website, and conducted research on rule of law, governance, and anti-corruption programs in Honduras and Colombia; and provided administrative, logistical, and clerical support for training events for U.S. Government officials including USAID staff.
