CurrentMilca Roja® is an iconic raspberry flavored soda founded in Nicaragua in 1959. Milca created the red soda category by being the first red soda in Nicaragua earning the social media accolade #LaRojaOriginal (“the original red”).As President and CEO since 2017, we expanded Milca’s market share and presence by negotiating contracts with the largest distributor in Nicaragua – Compañia Cervecera de Nicaragua. Due to this partnership, Milca was able to re-enter the Nicaraguan market in 2020 after a 22-year hiatus. Today, Milca is available in every supermarket, convenience store, gas station, restaurant and bar in Nicaragua.By tropicalizing the brand's image using vintage and retro elements, we launched a country-wide billboard, radio and influencer campaign for the re-introduction to Nicaragua by connecting to existing customers as well as creating new ones.
