He represents, first as Vice President and then as a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Foundations, the Spanish foundation sector in its relations with associations from other countries, especially Germany and the USA.Founding member of the AEF Education Working Group, participating in the conceptual definition and launch of the Intelligent Inventory of actions of Spanish foundations in favour of education.

Under his leadership, the Foundation's activity, well known for its cultural offering and postgraduate scholarships, evolved towards a Foundation more focused on education and research.He positioned the Foundation as a benchmark in educational innovation (EducaBarrié, Piteas Programme,...), science and technology transfer (Science Fund - currently IGNICIA Program - , Oxford Innovation Society meetings...) and professional development of researchers (Gradschool...).All of the above, without neglecting support for the social sector from the Más Social Programme, focused on the professionalization of management and fundraising, as well as the determined drive to enhance the value of Galicia's heritage with such emblematic projects as the restoration of the Pórtico de la Gloria or collaborations with the Real Academia Galega (Portal das Palabras...)

He is promoting a transformation of the foundation's mission, moving from a foundation focused on the management of scholarships and research contracts to becoming a business development agency of the Galician University System (SUG).Under his leadership, the area of ​​training and scholarships is strengthened to improve the incorporation of university talent in the labour market and, at the same time, collaboration programmes with companies (Espacios de Innovacion...) are delivered to articulate larger research projects, as well as for the raising of national and European funds.

In parallel to the Investment Management of UNIRISCO Galicia, he undertook the launch of the company and the raising of the first fund (i+ UNIFONDO) during 2004 and 2005.Once operations had begun, he was responsible for identifying investment opportunities in technology-based companies in Spain and Portugal. He was also in charge of the first evaluation of the projects and their presentation to the Investment Committee.

Responsible for the launch of the first seed capital company in Spain and Portugal specialising in investing in spin-offs from the academic and scientific sector.Management of a work team that took on the entire business process from the identification of an investment opportunity to divestment, including evaluation, negotiation, closing and monitoring of investments.
