He is a co-founder of the Rutgers University Disability Awareness Month and current co-chair. He was a member of the Rutgers University Academic Master Plan Committee and is currently a member of the Rutgers University DEI Committee. He is the Director of the Center for Disability Sports, Health, and Wellness at Rutgers University. He teaches many classes on issues of disability, health, and equity. He has written curriculum for several classes including Health and Wellness in Underserved Populations and Field Experience for Individuals with Disabilities. He is the Chair of the New Jersey Disabilities Covid-19 Action Committee. Robles was appointed by Gov. Murphy to the Puerto Rico Commission and was elected to the United Spinal National Board and a Commissioner of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation National Commission to Transform Public Health Data Systems. He is the President of the Latino Action Network of New Jersey (LAN) and was on the Board of Canine Companion for Independence Northeast Board for 15 years. He is the Founder of the Facebook Group, “People with Disabilities Helping Each Other Survive the Coronavirus.” He has been featured in state and national news outlets on issues ranging from COVID-19 and people with disabilities to equity in the Latino population. He has written opinion pieces and articles relating to individuals with disabilities, students, and underserved populations. -
