Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML) - Responsible for up to seven (7) programs. Programs included MK-XV IFF Joint Program (USAF lead, ACAT ID); NGIFF Joint Program (ACAT ID)Navy Lead; Marine ATC and Landings System (MATCALS), Precision Approach Radar (PARs) and various Avionics and weapons delivery systems which were ACAT III and IVT programs. I was responsible for the application of logistics methodologies in order to develop a supportable system specifically addressing, maintenance planning, manpower requirements, supply support, support equipment, training, technical data, computers, facilities, PHS&T and design interface for reliability , availability and maintainability.Experience with Non-developmental Items (NDI) acquisition programs which required innovative management due to international disputes (Desert Storm) and accelerated acquisition and fielding. One of which was the Downed Aircrew Locator System (DALS) which was fielded ahead of schedule and was immediately put on a rescue aircraft and worked the first time as designed. I was also responsible for the acquisition of the Combat Identification/ Cooperative Aircraft Identification (CI/CAI) program. This was a joint service (Army, AF, USMC, Navy and NATO) ACAT III program requiring interface and interservice coordination for its management and acquisition and application of the 10 elements of Logistics. As a result, I have extensive experience with joint programs lead by other services as well as familiarity with Joint Program Offices (JPO) and Special Program Offices (SPO) and how they are organized, managed and operated. . I provided logistical and technical support in the planning, analysis and execution of the program for all NAVAIR applicable equipment being developed for the JTIDS for all elements of logistics and application support for airborne environments. I coordinated with the integration of the JTIDS into their respective platforms ( F-14, E-2C, A-6, AV-8B, etc).
