Responsible for Managing Financials, Strategic and Organisational aspects for Design Delivery of more than 40 ongoing International Railway Infrastructure (Elevated/ Underground/ Metro and Cross Country High Speed and Heavy Haul Railway) Projects.

Working as Engineering Head (Technical Director) for Cairo Monorail which is World’s longest (98km) Monorail Project of project value US$ 4.2Billion (INR 31,000 Crore). For this role I was supported by a team of directly reporting managers for Civil/Structural & Geotechnical, Architectural, Rolling Stock, Electrical (LV and Traction), Telecom & Signalling and Interface.

As head of Engineering, I was supported by 95 Engineers/ draftspersons (Viaducts, Bridge, Track, OHE and S&T) and was in-charge of multidisciplinary design development of Viaducts, Bridges, Buildings, Ballastless Track, OHE and S&T works for all ongoing projects totaling project value of US$ 840 Million. The projects involved construction of new 2nd/3rd Railway line including Earthwork, Track Bridges, overhead Electrification, Signalling and Telecom works.Bidding-As head of Tendering, I was supported by 12 Estimation and Costing Engineers experts of Civil, Track,Electrification, Signalling & Telecom works. In a period of 4 years, the team led by me secured orders of US$- 720 Million and took the standing order book from US$ 65 Million to US$. 680Million.

Managing Engineering at Divisional Level in addition to managing the bids for Road, Rail and Metro Projects-• Managing Design/ Launching Methods of Road Viaducts by Post Tensioned Precast Segmental Bridge Construction by Balanced Cantilever and Launching Gantry at various projects.• Deep Tunnel for Storm Water Systems Launched by Dubai Municipality.- Pre and Post Prequalification works• Technical review and Investigating Value Engineering options of Rail/ Road tenders including design aspects and advising the Tendering & Cost Control Department on all technical related issues.• Technical support to the contracts department for subcontractor negotiations.

I was Managing Multidisciplinary Engineering and Interface affairs (Including all systems of Railways) of US$ 1.05 Billion Shah-Habshan-Ruwais Rail Project of Etihad Rail , Abu Dhabi, UAEThe Project was Engineering, Procurement & Construction of 266 km Long (409 Track km)Semi High speed cum Heavy Haul Rail Project (i.e. Stage-1 by Etihad Rail).

Heading the team of Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Designs Engineers | Tendering & Estimation engineers (25 Managers, Executives & Supervisors) of this unit. Projects Delivered with above Roles and Responsibilities1- Mumbai Monorail for MMRD Authority, India Project Value- US$ 502 Mil.2- Hyderabad Metro Rail, India Project Value- US$ 550 Mil. (Involved in bid submission, pre-bid design and Designs of Viaducts and Stations after the works) L&T as a Concessionaire.3- for Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporations of India, Indian Railways --Developing Structural Designs and Drawings for Standards spans of the bridges for Heavy Haul Loads (32.5 tonne Axle Loads)4- Various captive Railway Cross country Projects

• To maintain over 450km track and 500 bridges 43 station buildings and 2500 residential buildings.• To Lead and deploy team of 20 engineers and 1800 staff.• Awarded for carrying out more than 50 km of track renewal by track machines imported from Europe.• Raised the speed potential of the railway track to 110 kmph.• Have carried out  62 Kms of Through Rail Renewal. 60 Kms of Through Sleeper Renewal.• Rehabilitation (including construction) of 16 nos major bridges.

Responsibilities included policy decisions regarding Road Design Specifications, Toll Tax and BOT Project Frameworks.

Responsibility and Performance Description: • Analysis, Design and Proof checking of Structures of industrial buildings referring various International Codes of Practice including IS Codes, American, New Zealand, British and Canadian codes of practice.• Analysed and Designed complicated structures like Industrial Workshops, Chimneys, Turbo Generator Foundations, Pipelines, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Bridges, Mat Foundations using FEM, Water Tanks, Underground Water Tanks, and Piles.
