• Manage 15 Engineers covering all disciplines of electrical design: Analog, Power, Digital, Firmware and PWB layout.• Responsible for hiring, terminations/layoffs, performance appraisals and employee career development.• Establish short term and long term budgets including capital expenditures.• Member of Sr. Management team responsible for new business pursuits, including: deciding strategic projects to pursue, creating and giving technical presentations and creating technical proposals in response to RFPs.• Responsible for overseeing all electrical designs out of Moog SL, including: DTC, EVMS and technical implementation.

In this role I am responsible to:Coordinate and oversee the engineering teams engaged in new business pursuits. Coordinate technical responses to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.Develop Moog technology roadmaps that align with customer needs to enable future program wins. Visit with customers to establish relationships and communicate Moog’s capabilities.

• Oversee the requirements capture, design, development, certification, and qualification of the electronic components used to position the 787 primary and secondary aircraft surfaces (Aileron, Flaperon, Elevator, Rudder, Spoiler & HSTA). • Participated in requirement definition phase at Boeing facility in Everett WA.• Manage DTC (Design to Cost) efforts.• Generate and Maintain EVMS (Earned Value Management) and project schedules.• Oversee implementation of DO-254 ‘elemental analysis’ certification applied to PLD and circuit design.• Manage team of six Engineers (located in Salt Lake) & ten Engineers (located in East Aurora NY) responsible for the design/development/test of fly-by-wire control electronics used to position Electro-Hydraulic & Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems.
