As a Cardiac Physiology student who regularly attends clinical placement, professionalism, communication and listening are skills which I have established, and I am constantly developing. These skills contribute to providing quality care to patients, alongside upholding standards within a team. A group environment is something I have great enthusiasm for: having a support network allows teams I have worked in to drive towards a common goal. For example, from my role in cleaning services, skills such as conscientiousness can be rewarding to myself and other team members. Self-organisation with time management helped us to work efficiently under pressure, within our time-bound contract boundaries.Leadership roles in sports teams have enhanced my communication abilities. Adapting by providing individual feedback to team members, allowed me to improve their motivation levels. I enjoy the responsibility of leadership, whilst knowing when to seek assistance of my own.I aim to build upon these skills during academia and I look forward to integrating them into my future clinical career.
