A census taker/enumerator, after intensive training, is provided with binders with addresses in geographic areas that includes residences for which we have not received a completed questionnaire. Because residences without numbers and street or road names can be difficult to find, enumerators in rural areas also receive maps that have the housing units' approximate locations marked on them. The enumerator must go to each listed residence in the assigned area to complete the appropriate Census questionnaire (either short form or long form) for the housing unit and its occupants. Occasionally, residents can be difficult to deal with.
