I was hired in 1990 as the IBM System 36 RPG II programmer analyst. I primarily supported the in-house custom developed accounting, order entry, inventory control, and purchasing application that was developed in RPG II.In 1992 I lead the ERP project team in selecting and implementation of System Software Associates (SSA) Business Planning and Control System (BPCS) as well as the conversion from IBM System 36 to IBM AS400. In 1994 I was promoted to IT Manager and was responsible for managing a team of application developers and network technicians.In 1996 I was promoted to IT Manager, Medeva Americas, which owned and managed 5 US based pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. I was responsible for managing the IT team and build an integrated homogeneous IT platform while transforming the company from a heterogeneous autonomous silos of IT operation across all Medeva Americas operations. The consolidation of IT applications and infrastructure saved Medeva Americas $200,000 in significant cost savings through economies of scale and efficiency in productivity. In 1997 I was promoted to Director, Information Technology for Medeva Americas as a result of my success as IT Manager, Medeva Americas. I led a team of IT professional, which included Networking Engineers, Application Developers, and Project Managers and operated with a multi-million dollar IT budget. Key accomplishments included forming a key transatlantic partnership with Medeva's European IT operations and building a unified IT strategy and vision. The implementation of 21 CFR Part 11 validated manufacturing and distribution system in the US and Europe. I also built a U.S. based IT Department to support six manufacturing and research facilities located across the United States.

Initially enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard with the 136 Mobile Aerial Port Squadron as a C130 cargo load specialist as a prerequisite to becoming a C130 Loadmaster. Fall of 1989 I was selected and sent to Little Rock AFB for C130 Loadmaster training. I later graduated as the Distinguished Graduate.Participated in Desert Shield / Desert Storm from August 1990 to May 1991 with the 136 MAPS and 181st TAS. We were stationed in Dover AFB, Al Ain Air Base, UAE, and King Fahd AB, Saudi Arabia. Flew combat support and combat mission in Desert Storm.

Stateside my primary MOS 3073 as a Shipboard Uniformed Automated Data Processing System (SUADPS) in MAG-26, H&MS 26.I was attached and deployed in 1983 - 1984 with HMM-261 aboard the amphibious assault ship USS GUAM (LPH-9). My primary MOS while deployed was as an Aerial Gunner. HMM-261 participated in Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada & Multination Peace Keeping Force in Beirut, Lebanon.
