30Tal Project - Togar, Nsw, Australia

Based out of Talarah, Hunter Valley Rail Operations is a Division of Laing O’Rourke. Currently, we are involved in Togar project upgrading sections of the main line in that area.Key areas of responsibility are;- Involvement in managing the Safety Management System and its implementation on site.- Complying with the Contractors onsite safety systems.- Site walks and safety observations on current works.- Development and delivery of the onsite safety induction.- Development, training and assessing verification of competencies onsite.- Upkeep of onsite registers and filing.- Involvement in Positive Investigations.- Monitoring WH&S and Rail Safety Regulation across the site. - Conduct audits internally and externally.- Provide weekly and monthly stats internally and to client.- Provide WHS advice to Workers and Staff.- Raise the profile of behavioural Based Safety within Laing O’Rourke and with our contractor’s onsite.- Involvement with the investigation of all incidents and ensure the prompt and correct closeout of remedial actions or recommendations.- Maintain a proactive liaison with client representatives on Work Health and Safety issues.

Ncig Flyover Project - Kooragang Island

Based out of Talarah, Hunter Valley Rail Operations is a Division of Laing O’Rourke. Redispan - Tomago Industrial Area

Based out of Tomago, Redispan is a Division of Laing O’Rourke. The project consisted of delivering prefabricated modules to the Northern Waters Treatment Project in line with the Safety in Design program rollout.Key areas of responsibility were; - Involvement in managing the Safety Management System and its implementation on site.- Site walks and safety observations on current works- Upkeep of onsite registers and filing.- Monitoring WH&S and Environmental Regulation across the site. - Conduct safety and environmental audits internally.- Provide monthly stats internally.- Provide WHS advice to Workers and Staff.- Raise the profile of behavioural Based Safety within Redispan and with our contractor’s onsite.- Involvement with the investigation of all incidents and ensure the prompt and correct closeout of remedial actions or recommendations.- Involving Senior Staff in the proactive nature of Safety onsite.- Running of the Safety Meeting and completion of the minutes.- Gap analysis and outsourcing of training for Workers onsite.

K10 Project - Kooragang Island

The project consisted of the chiselling out and re-grouting of the rail pads that the NCIG Ports, ship coal loader ran on.Key areas of responsibility were;- Following the Contractors onsite safety systems.- Communication with the Contractor on movements of the coal ship loaders and safe working locations.- Improvement and adhering to onsite JSEA’s.- Involvement in safety meeting.- Safety of myself and others on the worksite.- Manual handling and general labouring duties.

Telarah, Nsw, Australia

The various projects I was involved with in Laing O’Rourke included; shutdown works, rail maintenance and mine site works at various worksites in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle.Key areas of responsibility were;- Following onsite safety systems.- Adhering to onsite JSEA’s.- Safe operation of plant and vehicles- Involvement in safety meeting.- Safety of myself and others on the worksite.- Manual handling and general labouring duties.
