About Jay John
Please allow me to introduce myself… Hi I’m Jay!So how did I end up in recruitment? Probably a question that most recruiters ask themselves to be honest! If anyone says that they always wanted to work in recruitment, I’m calling BS 🤣Casting your eyes over my LinkedIn profile you will find that my early work experience was gained working within the finance sector varying from retail banks to stockbroker firms. Despite excelling within these positions, dispelled by the misconception of these roles I decided I needed a new challenge, one which would allow me to utilise my valuable skills and true passion for communicating, building rapport and connecting people whilst breaking stigmas and stereotypes. After initially not knowing what career avenue to pursue I engaged with a couple of recruiters, some good and some bad (I mean like really bad). It was at this point the lightbulb 💡 switched and having considered recruitment at a previous point in my career, I decided to take the leap and secure my first recruitment job with Transition Partners. Taking my candidate experience into consideration I was again in a role which allowed me use my skills and persona to provide an amazing service whilst once again breaking stigma of recruitment consultants. Whilst my time here was curtailed due to Covid-19 my passion for connecting with exceptionally talented and affable individuals; using my network to help provide amazing career opportunities and in turn working with reputable companies helping their business grow and prosper wasn’t. Through grit and determination I found an incredible Talent Acquisition position which enables me to continue doing what I love.Built upon strong morals I’m an honest, personable, down to earth professional.
