Executed over 100 combat missions in support of Coalition Forces by conducting dismounted patrols searching for Improvised Explosive Devices. Duties included training and supervision of a nine man engineer squad in all aspects of demolitions, reconnaissance, and various counterinsurgency techniques. Executed combat operations in Saudi Arabia and Iraq during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Duties included the accountability for the health and welfare of an engineer squad and teaching combat effectiveness and basic medical procedures. Additional duties included the training and supervision of all combat operations, including parachuting into hostile terrain under adverse weather conditions, rappelling during counterinsurgency operations and conducting reconnaissance missions overseas.
