About Jay Raina
IDX LLC has now developed a proprietary gene cloning system for STABLE expression of proteins in human HEK293, SUPT1 and other human cell systems. Uniquely, the expression system has a reporter gene incorporated in the expression plasmid in which cytosolic/secretory protein expression is detected in 3-5 days of cell transfection and selection- < 5 minute, one-step lateral flow diagnostic test. Stable expression of the reporter gene product confirms the simultaneous expression of the cloned gene product of interest in the cells. HEK-derived HIV-1 envelope, core and regulatory gene products are expected to be available on the market soon.
