• Hired to improve the financial contribution of the aftermarket business. Against difficult market conditions improved EBITDA by 136% and Cash Flow from the operations by over 300% in a five year period

 Developed strategies to reverse the impact of severe market conditions caused by technology innovations that doubled the product lifecycle. Required creative interventions to counter unit volumes drop of 50% and unit prices drop of 20% over a 6 month period. Launched a Non-Catalogue-Niche (NCN) strategy to supply high end OEMs such as Ferrari, Lamborgini and Maserati. Developed and launched total exhaust manufacturing for high end motorcycles such as Ducati and BMW. Grew to 25% of the sales volume and 50% of the earnings.

 Joined this large industrial group as Quality Manager and promoted to positions of in engineering, manufacturing, sales, operations, strategic planning and government relations. At 29 years old, held full P&L responsibility for 3 plants representing 50% of the sales and 75% of the profits. As Managing Director, held full profit and loss responsibility for several joint venture automotive operations (Arvin Venezuela and Colombia, Hayes Lemmerz, Eaton/Oxford, Rockwell and TRW) in a variety of products and applications. Direct responsibility for a $65 million turnover and indirectly for a turnover of $120 million.  Supplied major original equipment manufacturers including Ford, GM, Toyota, Chrysler, Mack. Supplied the independent aftermarket locally as well as into the U.S., Brazil and Europe.  Successfully transformed internal systems and procedures in order to be a capable OE supplier, including gaining ISO and QS certifications. Achieve industry wide recognition with several awards from GM and Toyota as Supplier of the Year.
