I came up through the electrical industry. started off as a apprentice and went to school in the evenings. I reached enough hours to test for my Journeyman's card. I started to become a lead under the foreman and decided I wanted to get into the oil and gas industry. I ended up getting hired on with my first company building oil well sites and learning PLC's. The oil industry had a major slowdown and was laid off. It took me three months, but I was able to get hired on with my current employer working maintenance and became a foreman shorty after being hired on. I was able to maintain numerous projects at the same time, while ordering materials and making sure the crew's had what they needed from the wire to cut sheets to the minor screw. After one year I was asked to travel for my first pipeline going across the state of South Dakota. I was happy to accept the opportunity. Myself and three apprentices traveled across South Dakota finishing 38 Main Line Valves . I was then asked if I wanted to travel as a electrical Superintendent. We had 52 Main Line Valves over 746 miles in 4 States Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. I ended up being the 1 of 4 Electrical Superintendents, but eventually I was the only one from start to finish. I was asked to take a different position as a Field Coordinator within my company for numerous projects in West Texas from pipelines, salt water disposal expansions and saltwater facility builds. Helping direct material orders, reporting on pipeline and making sure they had the materials and ordering what would be needed. Reporting and coordinating with the facility expansions and new facility builds. I offer my services to the customer where I can and make suggestions. I try to be at every critical task from crane operations to concrete pours to pulling and terminating wires.
